All items from Sankalpa Wellness are a labor of love. Malas, though, involve an additional intention...devotion.  Each mala is made with either 27, 54 or 108 beads. All sacred numbers for meditation, chanting and prayer. Malas can be worn as a fashion statement or used for meditation, chanting, and prayer.

A little history about malas. They were first brought to the United States by missionaries who had traveled abroad to Asia. The traditional Eastern Mala was adopted by Christian missionaries and integrated into the Catholic church into what is now known as a prayer Rosary.
